EP315: Thought Leader Nuggets #33 - Bobby Hull - A Man Of His Word

“Show me who a person hangs with and I’ll tell you what kind of person they are.”

Wise words from a man who shared the ice with some of the best athletes in the world and gets birthday wishes direct from Donald Trump. Hockey legend, Bobby Hull, was on top of his game because he worked hard as an athlete and he’s a good, family man. He has a solid character and it earned him a lifetime of respect and the title of the first million dollar athlete. As a young, successful hockey player he knew the value of the contribution he and other professional athletes were making to the world and he made sure they got their share.

Bobby played professional hockey for 23 years and was named one of the 100 greatest NHL players in history. Known as "The Golden Jet" for his fast skating and slap shot, he often had two opponents shadowing him at all times. He played for the Chicago Black Hawks, Winnipeg Jets, and Hartford Whalers. He was an MVP and the NHL's leading point scorer three times. He led the NHL in goals seven times (the second most of any player in history), and was a lead scorer and MVP in the WHA. He was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1983, the Ontario Sports Hall of Fame in 1997, and he received the Wayne Gretzky International Award in 2003.
